Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine invites a dedicated Physical Therapist to join a mission‑driven orthopedic team in the Chicago area. You will evaluate, treat, and guide a diverse patient population and collaborate with physicians, PTAs, and OTs to deliver evidence‑based care.

You’ll lead patient education, document progress in Epic Hyperspace EMR, and help expand services like Blood Flow Restriction therapy, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to a patient‑centered culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine.
• Experience with post-surgical patients and/or athletes.
• Familiarity with Epic Hyperspace EMR.
• Strong manual therapy skills (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan techniques).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations including goniometry and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize therapeutic exercise and manual therapy to improve outcomes.
• Educate patients on conditions, home programs, and prevention strategies.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace EMR with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members for coordinated care.
• Supervise and mentor PTAs to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay current with PT advancements through CE and training.
• Contribute to department growth with new services like BFR therapy.
