Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Chicago is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our mission-driven orthopedic team. You will evaluate and treat a diverse patient population, from young adults to older adults, delivering evidence-based care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and PTAs, hands-on manual therapy, and growth opportunities, including expansion of Blood Flow Restriction therapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois.
• DPT degree from accredited program (preferred).
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine.
• Experience with post-surgical patients and/or athletes.
• Familiarity with Epic Hyperspace EMR.
• Strong manual therapy skills (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations including goniometry and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Apply interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities.
• Educate patients about conditions, home programs, and injury prevention.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members.
• Supervise and mentor PTAs (1:1 ratio).
• Stay current with PT advancements through CE.
• Contribute to department growth, including Blood Flow Restriction therapy.
