Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join its mission-driven orthopedic team in the Chicago area. You will evaluate and treat diverse patients, including post-surgical and athletic populations, using evidence-based care and a comprehensive skillset.

You will collaborate with physicians and therapists, mentor PTAs, and contribute to advancing services like Blood Flow Restriction therapy while maintaining patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid IL Physical Therapist license required or eligible.
• Graduate of an accredited PT program; DPT preferred.
• Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using goniometry and functional assessments.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans with physician input.
• Apply therapeutic exercise, manual therapy (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan), and modalities.
• Educate patients on conditions, home exercise programs, and prevention.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace and maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members.
• Supervise and mentor PTAs (1:1 ratio).
• Engage in continuing education and department growth, including Blood Flow Restriction therapy.
