Zusammenfassung

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic team in the Chicago area. You will assess and treat a diverse patient population, from young adults to older adults, using evidence-based methods and collaborating with a multidisciplinary group to restore function and reduce pain.

You will play a central role in patient education, discharge planning, and future services like BFR therapy, with a focus on quality care and accessible treatment

Qualifikationen

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Illinois.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
• Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine
• Experience with post-surgical patients and/or athletes
• Familiarity with Epic Hyperspace EMR
• Strong manual therapy skills (e.g., Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan techniques)

Aufgaben

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with goals and physician recommendations.
• Apply a range of interventions to improve outcomes (therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities).
• Educate patients on conditions, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace and ensure timely updates.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members for coordinated care.
• Supervise and mentor PTAs (1:1) to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay current with PT advancements and continuing education.
• Support department growth and future services.
