Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Chicago is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join a mission-driven orthopedic team. You will evaluate and treat a diverse patient population, including post-surgical patients and athletes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff to restore function.

You will utilize a range of evidence-based interventions, document progress in Epic Hyperspace, and mentor PTAs while contributing to ongoing program growth and new services such as Blood Flow

Qualifications

• Must hold Illinois Physical Therapy license or be eligible
• DPT preferred and board certification in Orthopedics/Sports Medicine
• Experience with post-surgical patients or athletes
• Proficient in Epic Hyperspace EMR and documentation

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations including goniometry and manual muscle testing.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with goals and physician recommendations.
• Utilize therapeutic exercise, manual therapy (Graston, Dry Needling, MDT, Mulligan), and modalities to improve outcomes.
• Educate patients on conditions, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members for coordinated care.
• Mentor PTAs (1:1) ensuring effective delegation and continuity of care.
• Stay current with advances in physical therapy through CE and professional development.
• Contribute to department growth including new services like Blood Flow Restriction therapy.
