Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Texas is seeking a front office coordinator to educate patients, schedule treatment across general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. You will work with a team of 100+ doctors across 50+ locations, supporting patient flow and insurance processing.

The role requires 1–3 years of dental front office experience, orthodontic exposure, bilingual Spanish, and proficiency with Open Dental or Dentrix.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of dental front office experience.
• 1 year Treatment Coordinating experience.
• 1 year of Orthodontic experience.
• Knowledge of PPOs, Medi & CHIP dental insurances.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on treatment needs and options.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled appointments across multiple specialties.
• Communicate treatment updates with referring offices via letters and emails.
• Handle pre-authorizations and insurance processing.
• Process payments (Cash, Credit, Care Credit).
• Assist with open/close of the office and end-of-day reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required
• 1 year Treatment Coordinating experience
• 1 year of Orthodontic experience
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required
