Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a Dental Treatment Coordinator to educate patients about treatment needs and coordinate multi-specialty care across pedodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. The role requires travel nearly full-time and is best suited for bilingual Spanish speakers.

The candidate should know dental insurances, have open dental systems experience (Open Dental/Dentrix helpful), and be capable of communicating with referring offices while processing payments

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of dental treatment coordinator experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances.
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience is helpful.
• Must be able to Travel 90-100% of the time.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment across multiple specialties (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics).
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails detailing treatment plans and updates.
• Verify all insurances.
• Call in / Fax COP (change of provider).
• Send Pre-Authorizations.
• Explain dental procedures and treatment plans clearly to patients (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants).
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit.
• Audit chart notes and create claims.
• Run end of day reports.
• Assist with open and close of the office.
• Daily housekeeping (shared with other staff).
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)

• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
