Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a dental front office team member in Brownsville, TX. You will educate patients on treatments, schedule multi-specialty procedures, and liaise with referring offices. Strong communication is essential to convert planned care to scheduled appointments.

The role requires 1–3 years in a dental front office, knowledge of PPOs/Medicare plans, and bilingual Spanish. Open Dental/Dentrix experience is a plus. Competitive pay and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of dental front office experience required
• Knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Software experience with Open Dental/Dentrix is helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on type and extent of treatment needed.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty offices (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics).
• Communicate treatment details with referring offices via letters and emails.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider).
• Send Pre-Authorizations.
• Explain dental procedures and treatment plans clearly to patients.
• Process payments: Cash, Credit & Care Credit; ensure payment at time of service.
• Audit chart notes and create claims.
• Run end of day reports.
• Assist with opening and closing the office.
• Daily housekeeping (shared with staff).
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
