Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is a fast-growing multi-location dental group. Based in Texas, our front desk team educates patients, verifies insurance, schedules multi-specialty treatment, and communicates with referring offices to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of front office dental experience.
• Knowledge of dental insurances including PPOs, Medi-Cal and CHIP.
• Dental practice management software experience helpful.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on treatment type and extent.
• Convert planned treatment to scheduled multi-specialty care (PED, Endo, OS, Ortho).
• Communicate treatment updates to referring offices via letters/emails.
• Process copays and patient payments.
• Audit chart notes and submit claims.
• Run end-of-day reports and assist with office opening/closing.
• Perform daily housekeeping and other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3 years of previous dental front office experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of all dental insurances including PPOs, Medi & Chip
• Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
• Bilingual (Spanish) is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Educate patients on the type and extent of treatment needed.
• Be successful in converting planned treatment to scheduled treatment in multi-specialty. (Pedodontics, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics)
• Communicate with referring offices through letters and emails details of treatment planned and updates on patient treatment.
• Ability to call in / Fax COP (change of provider)
• Send Pre-Authorizations
• Must utilize excellent communication skills with an ability to explain, present, and educate dental procedures and treatment plans to patients plainly. (Fillings, Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants)
• Process payments; Cash, Credit & Care Credit Ensure patient payments are collected at time of service.
• Ability to audit chart notes and create claims
• Ability to run end of day reports
• Assist with open and close of the office
• Daily housekeeping (will be shared with other staff)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
