Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes Orthopaedics division seeks a Regional Clinical Sales Specialist to support surgeons in the Central Illinois Springfield-Decatur territory. In the operating room you provide clinical and technical guidance, ensure the correct instruments and implants are available, and help optimize patient care and OR workflow.

You will travel within the U.S., build strong relationships with physicians and hospital staff, and collaborate with sales, clinical, and marketing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree or medical certification with 2+ years of professional experience, or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel within the U.S. frequently, including overnight and weekend travel.
• Residence in or relocation to the assigned region.
• Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Working in a lab/operating room environment and valid US driver's license.
• Technical knowledge of orthopedic surgical instruments and procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Independently guide and assist surgeons in the operating room with orthopedic cases.
• Provide direct customer support by attending surgeries and ensuring equipment is available and functioning.
• Troubleshoot clinically and financially; respond to physician needs and manage hospital billing.
• Share insights with cross-functional teams to improve solutions and service levels.
• Prepare sales reports and documentation as needed.
• Coordinate logistics by moving instruments and implants between reps and hospitals.
