Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is seeking a customer-focused sales associate to greet walk-in customers, assist with product selection, and process sales orders. You will pick items from inventory, prepare sales tickets, and manage payments while delivering excellent service in a dynamic retail and warehouse setting.

The role requires strong math and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency with computers. A background in electrical products is preferred.

Qualifications

• Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and inter-personal communication skills.
• Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate information and present solutions to a customer.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant computer software.
• Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers and assist with order and product selection.
• Enter sales orders and pick items from warehouse inventory.
• Prepare customer sales tickets and collect payment.
• Handle phone-in customers with courteous etiquette.
• Maintain counter area displays and inventory.
• Reach monthly sales and gross margin goals.
• Encourage the use of digital tools across customers.
