Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately process customer orders and manage incoming calls. Under supervision, you will respond to product inquiries, provide quotes, and enter orders via multiple channels.

You will work with internal teams to optimize inventory, shipping methods, and backorder expediting, while building relationships to generate repeat business and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong reliability, organization, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Comfort with multi-tasking and basic computer use in a business environment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through price negotiations within parameters and may adjust non-contract pricing.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Manages inventory levels and sources products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods and expedites backorders.
• May handle returns and collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure satisfaction.
