Job summary

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1 year minimum experience required.
Knowledge of Basic Anatomy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent computer and telephone skills.

Responsibilities

Schedule elective surgeries in advance for Perioperative Service.
Maintain current file of surgeon privileges for reference in booking procedures.
Distribute OR schedules to areas as required.
Ensure confidentiality of data.
Provide consultation to nursing personnel in production of schedule.
Attend applicable educational programs in the Hospital and department.
Prepare daily OR schedule, check for accuracy and completeness.
