Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) seeks a Surgical Scheduler to coordinate procedures in the OR, align pre- and post-operative appointments, and secure necessary authorizations. You’ll work closely with clinicians and hospital staff to ensure timely patient care.

Ideal candidates have healthcare or customer service experience, strong PC skills, and familiarity with medical terminology. This full-time role is based in the UHS Gastroenterology department in Binghamton, NY.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' experience in healthcare OR two (2) years' experience in customer service.
• Proficient PC skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Preferred: MOA program or AS degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures in ORSOS.
• Schedule pre- and post-operative appointments.
• Obtain authorization for procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical team and hospital staff to ensure timely care.
