Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a proactive Business Analyst (Oracle CPQ) to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams. You will gather, analyze, and translate complex product requirements into robust CPQ configurations, and apply AI tools to streamline drafting, testing, and workflow optimization.

Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years in a BA role, solid SQL/PL-SQL skills, and familiarity with Oracle CPQ and ERP. Telecommunications knowledge and Agile experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical understanding or hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, or scripting languages.
• Prior experience with Oracle Enterprise Applications (Oracle CPQ) preferred.
• Telecommunications domain knowledge preferred.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, become an operational subject matter expert, solve complex business problems, and teach or mentor others.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of strong experience in a Business Analyst role gathering requirements, defining scope, and creating functional specifications for Oracle CPQ.
• Hands-on experience using modern AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini) for requirements, modeling, or test scripts.
• Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (Oracle ERP) and rule-based configuration models.
• Experience creating business process models and using them to clearly describe functional requirements.
• Excellent requirement gathering, analytical problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Agile vs. Waterfall software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering & Management: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define product scope and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for Oracle CPQ.
• AI-Driven Productivity: Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate documentation, draft process models, analyze data, and create test scenarios.
• System Quality & Orderability: Ensure product configurations in Oracle CPQ are defect-free, orderable, and adhere to standards.
• BOM & Structure Simplification: Reduce ordering complexity by simplifying BOMs, rule logic, and offer structures.
• Portfolio Optimization: Drive SKU reduction, product cancellation analysis, and catalog simplification.
• Development & Testing Alignment: Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and validate post-development.
• Factory & Supply Chain Coordination: Verify configuration rules with factory and supply chain teams to ensure smooth Sales Orders processing.
• Quality Assurance: Design test plans, scenarios, and scripts to verify BOMs and configuration changes.
• Agile Execution: Work in an Agile environment to gather requirements and deliver ERP/CRM implementations.
