Job summary

The role supports patient care and teamwork within a large health system in Des Moines, IA. The position is full-time with day shifts; certification requirements include BLS and CST where applicable, with mandatory competency expectations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or LPN program with surgical experience.
• CST certification preferred but not required; must obtain within 18 months of hire if working in Illinois.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room: instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Scrub in general, gynecology, urology, podiatry, plastics and other specialties as needed.
