MercyOne Health System in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our Operating Room. You will prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and scrub in on a variety of procedures, including general, gynecology, urology, podiatry and plastics.

The role may involve 2nd, 3rd or 4th scrub duties across specialties. Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. CST preferred but not required in Iowa; BLS required.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or complete a surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• Or graduate of an LPN program with surgical experience.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; certification within 18 months if working in Illinois.

Mansioni

• Prepare the operating room for the surgical procedure, including instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile field during the procedure; scrub in on general, gynecology, urology, podiatry and plastics cases.
• May serve as 2nd, 3rd or 4th scrub in all surgical specialties.
