Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Surgical Technician, CST, to join our operating room team. The role involves preparing the OR, maintaining sterility, and scrubbing in for general, gynecology, urology, podiatry, and plastics cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or an LPN with surgical experience.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; required if working in Illinois.
• BLS certification mandatory.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Scrub in various specialties; 2nd, 3rd or 4th scrub as needed.
