Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is hiring a Surgical Technician for the operating room. You will prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and scrub in across multiple surgical specialties while adhering to MercyOne’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or completion of a surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• LPN program graduate also considered; CST preferred but not required in Iowa; CST required within 18 months if working in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures, including instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain sterile field during surgery and scrub in as needed across general, gynecology, urology, podiatry and plastics.
• Support surgeons and team; meet MercyOne performance expectations per mission and values.
