Job summary

UVA Health seeks an Access Associate Senior to support scheduling operations within the OR workflow. You will coordinate complex multi-step scheduling, confirm patient data, and liaise with care teams to ensure timely, accurate scheduling across Epic systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• Experience: External candidates require 3 years in a clinical administrative role.
• Certification: CHAA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate orders and schedule procedures in Epic (OpTime, Cupid, Radiant) accurately.
• Schedule provider appointments with all required information and confirmations.
• Educate patients on pre-surgery requirements and coordinate with PETC as needed.
• Maintain ICD-10 and CPT knowledge and communicate scheduling changes promptly.
