Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) at St. Francis Medical Center to deliver exceptional nursing care in the OR. You will collaborate with the care team, perform patient assessments, and manage perioperative care across pre-, intra-, and post-op phases to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, current RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (preferred). OR internship and CNOR/SGNA are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS, ACLS or PALS certifications preferred; must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care.
• CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required.
• Two years RN experience in Critical Care preferred; OR internship experience optional.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to plan patient care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment in the OR.
• Observe the surgery and teamwork, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
• Coordinate nursing care in the OR and serve the surgical team with other providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
