Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room (OR) at St. Francis Eastside. This PRN role delivers comprehensive nursing care, conducts thorough assessments, and coordinates care with the health team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

The RN will administer medications, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and support patient education and safety initiatives throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or diploma in nursing (required)
• Valid nursing license in state of practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (required at hire for some locations; preferred/required depending on location)

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care using the nursing process: data collection, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administers medications safely in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Coordinates patient care with health team members and acts as a patient safety advocate.
• Facilitates patient teaching and supports continuity of care across hospital departments.
