Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at West Hospital. The RN will assess patient status, prioritize needs, implement perioperative nursing care, and develop care plans to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree (associate or bachelor), maintains RN licensure, and meets certification expectations (BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred). CNOR/ SGNA are a plus. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS or PALS required/preferred; ACLS/PALS may be required within 6 months based on department needs.
• CNOR and SGNA are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and surgical team from a broad perspective and assist to create a safe environment for the patient.
• Manage the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate needs with other providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessment and discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
