Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care at the Springfield Regional Medical Center. You will lead patient assessments, collaborate with the surgical team, and ensure a safe, efficient operating room environment.

The role requires an RN licensure, with preferred experience in OR or critical care settings, and certifications such as CNOR or BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• Two years RN experience in a Critical Care or OR setting preferred.
• Completion of OR internship or perioperative training optional but beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist to create a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.
• Manage the nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including assessments and discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
