Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an OR Care Technician I at Mease Countryside in Safety Harbor, FL. This full-time role supports surgery teams with patient prep, positioning and room turnover, under RN supervision. Shift 2:30pm-11:00pm; occasional weekend work may apply.

Ideal candidates have a current BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prefer 1 year of perioperative care experience; technical training is a plus. Benefits and growth opportunities are provided by BayCare.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree
• Preferred - 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.
