Job summary

BayCare in Winter Haven, FL, is seeking an OR Care Tech to perform direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, assisting in the operating room and recovery, and handling supplies and sterilizers.

Requirements include BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred technical program completion or degree with 1 year of perioperative/in-patient care experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: technical program completion or degree.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of an RN.
• Assist in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; plus support duties for supplies and sterilizers.
• Prepare patients for surgery or procedures and maintain/clean equipment and instruments.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities:

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree
• Preferred - 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

Shift Hours: 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Shift: Shift 4

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
