Job summary

BayCare Health System – Surgery-WHH in Winter Haven is seeking an OR Care Technician I to assist in patient care under RN supervision. You will help prepare patients for surgery, assist in the operating room and recovery, and support instrument and supply sterilization.

The role requires BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred technical training with 1 year of procedural experience. On-site, full-time with day shifts and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• High School or Equivalent required.
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree.
• Preferred - 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

• Assist in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room.
• Prepare patients for surgery/procedures and support duties including cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities:

Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree
