Job summary

BayCare Health System, Surgery-MPH, located at Morton Plant, seeks an OR Care Tech for a full-time role. Responsibilities include direct/indirect patient care under RN supervision, OR assistance, and perioperative prep.

Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with on-site duties and a comprehensive benefits package. The position requires BLS certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably a technical program completion or degree.

OR Care Tech Responsibilities:

Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN. Responsible for supplies / equipment and performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to the preparation of patients for surgery / procedures; assists in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room; and performs support duties to include the cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree
• Preferred - 1 year of experience in procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.
