Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited program.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams and assess ocular health.
• Establish long-term patient relationships through care and education.
• Interview patients to determine health, medical issues, and visual needs.
• Advise patients on remediation options including lenses and medications.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and postoperative eye care when needed.
• Promote eye health and advise on contact lens care.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure optimal lens recommendations.
