Job summary

EssilorLuxottica, located in Los Angeles, seeks an Optometric Technician to support eye exams and patient care at EyeSite Optometric LA. The role involves assisting with patient flow, pre-exam testing, and accurate record-keeping to ensure a seamless patient experience.

You will help the doctor deliver high-quality vision care, manage records, and support contact lens exams. Requires 2+ years in optics/healthcare and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in optometry/healthcare.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and use of optical diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams; manage records and patient flow.
• Perform tests to aid optometrist: visual acuity, depth/color perception, retinal imaging.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; consult as needed.
• Identify dissatisfied patients and resolve issues.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Support contact lens exams and orders.
• Operate POS and process transactions.
• Maintain safe environment; assist with merchandising.
• Conduct pre-exam testing; explain measurements.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; assist the Optometrist.
• Work weekends/evenings as needed.
• Adhere to policies and dress code.
• Perform other functions as assigned.
