EssilorLuxottica's TeamVision practice in West Covina is hiring a full-time Optometric Technician to support eye exams and patient flow. You will assist with tests, manage records, and help ensure a top quality patient experience through accurate measurements and smooth coordination with the doctor and staff.

The role requires 2+ years in optometry or healthcare, knowledge of optical terminology and equipment, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in optometry, ophthalmology or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of optical and medical terminology.
• Understanding and utilization of optical equipment and diagnostic testing.
• Coaching skills and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams, manage patient records and flow.
• Perform tests aiding optometrist: visual acuity, depth and color perception, retinal imaging.
• Review prescriptions and patient information; consult with clinicians as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and prep for contact lens exams.
• Operate POS and handle sales transactions when required.
• Adhere to attendance, dress code, and company policies; support weekends/evenings.
