Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification as an Optometric or Ophthalmic Technician is a plus.
• Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
• Appointment scheduling and medical office workflow skills.
• Fundamental optometry knowledge and comfort working in a clinical eye care setting.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for interactions with patients and team members.
• Prior experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and record medical histories.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests and assist with pre-testing procedures.
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain organized patient records; ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assist with operation and cleaning of diagnostic equipment and support the optometrist during examinations.
• Collaborate with the office team to deliver a welcoming, efficient, and high-quality vision care experience.
