Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by performing preliminary tests and measurements to prepare patients for exams. Training will be provided, and weekend/evening shifts may be required.

This role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate documentation, and a smooth flow of patients through the office. You will learn to operate pretest equipment, assist during exams, and provide essential training for contact lens fitting when applicable.

Qualifications

Requires High School diploma or GED and ability to understand basic math.
Personable, patient, and able to comfort patients during screening.
Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
Learn to use pretest equipment to perform range of visual screenings.
Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing as needed.
Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experiences.
