Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, including preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience is required—training will be provided to learn about the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

The role involves aiding patient flow, documenting medical history, and using pretest equipment for visual screenings. Weekend and evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for pre-exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during visits.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures they will undergo.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and preliminary testing as applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
