MyEyeDr. in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history.

No optical experience required; training will be provided to operate pretest equipment and conduct visual screenings. You will help maintain a smooth patient flow, assist with contact lens training when applicable, and collaborate with the team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and services.
• Previous healthcare/optical background preferred but not required, training provided.

Responsabilités

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and prep medical history for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during the appointment.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctor and team to provide seamless patient experience.
