Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, running preliminary testing, and taking measurements. No optical experience is required—training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and vision screenings.

You will work with the care team to ensure a seamless patient experience, document medical histories, assist during visits, and help manage patient flow, including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with basic math abilities.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for the exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
