Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements. No optical experience is required as training will be provided. Weekend and evenings shifts may be required to ensure patient flow and comfort during visits.

The role offers wage range of $16.00 to $21.00 hourly, with compensation commensurate with experience and adherence to wage laws. Training will enable use of pretest equipment and vision screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist and team.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history and conditions for prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during the visit.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other pretests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
