Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician to support a world class Total Patient Experience by assisting the optometrist and performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams. This role involves handling optical equipment and following care protocols with accuracy.

You will operate lensmeters and imaging devices, maintain equipment, comply with HIPAA, and interact courteously with patients and staff. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent.
• Background check required by state with favorable result.
• Ability to prove identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Comply with company policies including HIPAA.
• Maintain urgency to protect patient and doctor schedules.
• Operate manual and auto lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT.
• Follow scripting for testing equipment and procedures.
• Keep examination equipment clean including tonometer tips.
