Job summary

Warby Parker is hiring an Optometric Technician to work alongside our optometrists in-store. You will help manage high patient volumes, perform pre-testing, support with contact lens training, and assist with data collection and records to keep eye exam operations running smoothly.

You will collaborate with doctors, store teams, and patients in a fast-paced retail setting while learning new medical applications and maintaining HIPAA-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Excellent patient care and communication abilities.
• Multitasking, organization, and time management to maintain flow.
• Comfortable with technology and quick learner of medical applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient, building rapport during eye exams.
• Perform pre-testing data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing).
• Support in person and video-assisted eye exam appointments.
• Deliver contact lens insertion/removal training and train team members.
• Manage appointment confirmations and ensure seamless patient experience.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting as needed.
