Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our store team and collaborate with our optometrists to deliver a stellar patient experience. You will help manage high patient volume, perform pre-testing, assist with contact lens training, and support video-assisted eye exams where available.

You will collect data, maintain records, and help with appointment flow while upholding HIPAA privacy and store procedures in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with doctors, staff, and patients.
• Comfort with technology and learning new medical software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Collect preliminary clinical data (autorefraction, acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exams.
• Provide insertion/removal training for contacts and train peers as needed.
• Assist booking, outreach, and follow-ups to ensure smooth visits.
• Maintain organized exam rooms and cleanliness of equipment.
• Support doctors with data recording and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA/PIPEDA and privacy policies.
