Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and helping deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. Training will be provided for those new to optics, with some weekend and evening shifts required.

You will work under the Office General Manager and directly assist the Doctor(s), ensuring patient comfort and smooth flow through pre-exam processes and contact lens training when applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and MyEyeDr. services.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
