Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in busy stores. You will help manage a high volume of patients, complete pre-testing, and support with contact lens training.

You’ll assist with recording data, preparing reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced retail setting. Ideal candidates are patient, team-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to multitask while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Completion of an optometric technician training program or CPOT certification.
• Ability to learn new medical software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (auto-refraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing).
• Support in person and video assisted eye exams when available.
• Provide insertion/removal training to new contact lens wearers and train team members as directed.
• Assist booking process and outreach to ensure seamless appointments.
• Maintain accurate records of collected data and prepare reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/compliance and proper privacy practices.
