Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in our stores to deliver a stellar patient experience. You will help with pre-testing, data collection, and training on contact lens insertion/removal in a high-volume environment.

You will coordinate exams, assist with video-assisted eye exams, and maintain meticulous records while ensuring HIPAA privacy and compliance. A medical environment background is valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Experience with eye care or optometry preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison between doctor and patient during eye exams.
• Perform preliminary data collection: visual acuity, pupil testing, and tone checks.
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exam appointments where available.
• Deliver insertion/removal training for contact lenses and train teammates as directed.
• Manage appointment flow and confirm visits to ensure smooth patient experiences.
• Maintain accurate data records and prepare reports for medical staff.
