Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in high‑volume stores. You will assist with pre-testing, data collection, and contact lens training while supporting seamless patient flow and accurate record keeping.

You will collaborate with doctors, store teams, and patients to deliver exceptional eye care in a retail setting. Training and HIPAA compliance are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient, establishing a great rapport with all eye exam patients.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging, lensometry).
• Support in person and video assisted eye exam appointments as available.
• Train patients and team on contact lens insertion/removal.
• Assist with appointment confirmation and outreach for a seamless experience.
• Manage patient flow through the eye exam process.
• Maintain accurate records of data collected and assist with reports to medical professionals.
