AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists, conducting pre-testing and diagnostic tasks while managing the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality patient experiences.

You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with specialty testing such as OCT and Visual Field, and help maintain HIPAA-compliant records and clerical duties. This is a full-time, on-site role in Houston.

Formación

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsabilidades

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity.
• May assist with diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Records and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and state policies.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient, high-quality patient experiences.
