Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists, perform pre-testing, and assist with diagnostic testing. You will help manage appointments, document findings in EHR, and communicate with patients about treatments. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrists with patient care and education to ensure high-quality experiences.
• Conduct pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Schedule and manage doctor appointments for efficient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR per HIPAA and policy.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
