AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and educate patients while ensuring a high-quality experience. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule in a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to the details and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co-workers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam evaluations and patient education.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor appointment schedule for efficiency.
• Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant EHR.
• Handle telephone inquiries about medications and treatment.
• Assist with contact lens classes and inventory.
