Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring patients receive the highest quality optometric care and a smooth exam process.

You will support the optometrist, greet patients, handle pre-exam testing and data entry, maintain HIPAA-compliant records, manage contact lenses, and assist retail as needed, with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and display a professional image.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and prepare patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Maintain patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Support retention and scheduling activities.
• Handle contact lens orders and maintain the contact lens room.
• Input data into CIAO system with accuracy.
• Ensure inventory of supplies and contact lenses.
• Assist retail when capacity allows.
