Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors in busy store environments. The role involves pre-testing, patient education on contact lens insertion/removal, and assisting with both in-person and video-assisted eye exams. You will help manage patient flow and ensure accurate data collection.

The ideal candidate has medical environment experience and optometric training, with strong teamwork and multitasking skills to thrive in a high-volume retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• Ability to learn and use medical software and optical devices.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to ensure smooth exams.
• Collect preliminary clinical data (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exams where available.
• Provide insertion/removal training for new contact lens wearers.
• Assist with appointment flow, confirmations, and follow-ups to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain accurate data records and prepare reports for clinicians.
• Adhere to HIPAA/PIPEDA and company privacy policies.
• Maintain organized exam rooms and keep supplies updated.
