Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist with pre-testing, patient data collection, and training on contact lens insertion/removal while maintaining high standards of accuracy and privacy.

You will help manage patient flow, support video-assisted eye exams where applicable, and collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver exceptional eye care and a stellar patient experience.

Qualifications

• Professional, articulate and compassionate patient care.
• Able to multitask, organize and manage time for efficient flow.
• Comfortable with technology and quick to learn medical apps.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to establish rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video assisted eye exam appointments.
• Train new contact lens insertion/removal techniques for staff.
• Assist with appointment confirmations and follow-up to ensure smooth visits.
• Maintain organized exam rooms, replenish supplies and keep equipment clean.
• Help prepare reports and ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance.
